Help decide who will be crowned the Auckland Regional Champion 2024

Art Battle is the planet’s biggest LIVE painting competition – across 70+ cities worldwide. And now the final is here in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland!

The regular season event winners return – PLUS 6 more (yes 6!!) of your favourite artists will be painting LIVE throughout the show. With so much artistic talent under 1 roof it is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

Your vote determines who goes through from the opening 2 rounds, to a third and final round and to determine the ultimate winner!

Vjekoslav is a world-renowned artist and inspiring art tutor based in Auckland. His exceptional drawing skills and interest in comics led him to pursue a career in art. With over 40 years' experience in the field, Vjekoslav has become a multi-award-winning artist with his work featured in collections throughout Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Asia and New Zealand.

Kate McLeod

Kate is a highly acclaimed and award-winning New Zealand artist based in Ilam, Ōtautahi Christchurch. Kate is represented locally by the Auckland International Gallery. Kate is a full-time mixed media artist, working in a wide range of mediums, including oil, acrylic, resin, pigments and metal leaf, as well as hand-crafting her own timber frames.

Kate has exhibited widely throughout Aotearoa and was the winner of the Winsor and Newton Award at the Auckland Art Show in 2022.

Logan has always been interested in painting portraits. He is always looking at new ways to engage with an audience through his paintings whether it is creating huge paintings or changing the shape of the canvas. His primary medium is oil on canvas, though he experiments with various artistic materials.

Shafnaz made her memorable Art Battle Auckland debut at A Taste of Art Battle at Art in the City in September. She followed up by taking out the next full battle just a few weeks later! Shafnaz likes to consider her art as a collection of nature. When she paints, she wants people to imagine themselves in her art, as if they are standing in the ocean or standing right by a mountain.

The artwork Dylan produces under pressure are images that are both free and easy on the eyes. His earliest memories of life and art come from when he was 4 and drawing all over his grandparent's dining room table. Every day he draws, paints, writes and tries his hand with digital media.

Caroline Kelly

Caroline is back! Caroline has always had a deep passion for art, extensively drawing portraits and the human form. Until 2019, she learned oil painting, watercolor and classical drawing. In 2022, after recovering from amnesia, she has taught herself to paint and draw again and is better than ever.

Eva Fuemana

Eva Fuemana works in large-scale street art and graphic design. Her mixed Niue, Māori heritage inspires her to create content guided towards traditional and modern Polynesian culture.

Eva’s large-scale works can be found in communities across NZ.

She has been involved in a collaborative live mural created in Dubai for the World Expo 2020/22 and created murals for The Women's Rugby World Cup in NZ.

Mountain Duck

Kelly aka Mountain Duck is back! This time our first battle Spotlight Artist will be here to compete. A background writing graffiti across the streets of Auckland led Kelly into drawing classic style animated cartoons for Disney and our local show Brotown. His current art is a culmination of all the influences and styles he has explored, and is self described as "Mash-up surrealist psychedelic cartoon graffiti."

He is a true lover of art, using vibrant colors to focus on the details to integrate classic oil painting with the sense of traditional Chinese culture. Justin looks forward to sharing his passion for art with an Auckland audience.

Tiare Ngata-Aerengamate

Tiare washer final finalist to secure her spot after winning the Mangere-Otahuhu heat in February.
Tiares' influences come largely from Māori cultural aspects. Growing up among loving whānau and culture, she is keen to bring that same feeling of love and nostalgia to the audience. She favours warm colours across mixed mediums and styles, with an applied focus on life drawing, colour theory, light and shade and Māori designs [carving, tukutuku].
